A sealed laboratory flask holds 2.40 L of SAE 30 oil at 20 °C

Problem

A sealed laboratory flask holds 2.40 L of SAE 30 oil at 20 °C. The oil has a specific gravity of 0.891 and a dynamic viscosity of 0.290 Pa·s. Compute the oil’s mass, specific weight, kinematic viscosity, and specific volume.

Hint

Specific gravity scales density from water; mass is density times volume, specific weight is density times g, kinematic viscosity is mu/rho, and specific volume is 1/rho.
