Kinetic friction under a horizontal pull
Problem
A $10.0\,\mathrm{kg}$ crate slides right on a horizontal floor. A $50.0\,\mathrm N$ force pulls right and $\mu_k=0.300$. Use an inertial floor frame with $+x$ right and $+y$ up, take $g=9.80\,\mathrm{m\,s^{-2}}$, and neglect drag. Find friction and acceleration.
Hint
$N=98.0\,\mathrm N$.
