Kirchhoff loop with two series resistors
Problem
An ideal $18.0\,\mathrm V$ battery drives current through $2.00\,\Omega$ and $4.00\,\Omega$ series resistors. Starting at the battery's negative terminal, traverse the loop in the direction of conventional current and write the signed loop equation. Then find the current and both resistor drops.
Hint
Record a positive rise through the battery from its negative to positive terminal.
