A particle moves on the ellipse x = 5.00 cos(0.80 t) m, y = 3.00 sin(0.80 t) m
Problem
A particle moves on the ellipse x = 5.00 cos(0.80 t) m, y = 3.00 sin(0.80 t) m. At t = 1.20 s, determine the velocity and acceleration in Cartesian components, then convert the acceleration into n-t components by computing the path's radius of curvature at that point.
Hint
Cartesian v and a are ordinary derivatives of the given x(t) and y(t).
