Apparent depth in water
Problem
A coin lies $1.20\,\mathrm m$ below a flat water surface. An observer in air looks nearly straight down. Taking $n_{\mathrm{water}}=1.333$, find the coin's apparent depth and its apparent upward displacement.
Hint
Identify the object medium as water and the observer medium as air.
